We are a small group of people interested in making modern computing technology available to the common people in Orissa. Not only in Orissa, but in all of India, there is an increasingly widening gap between a technologically-savvy elite and those who do not know English, which is to say the vast majority of the populace. As modern technology becomes increasingly software-based, there will be grave consequences for those on the wrong side of this divide.

We are inspired by the indomitable will of our namesake, Rebati, in the Fakir Mohan story, and hope that we can remove at least some of the obstacles for modern-day Rebatis in their path to education and a better life.

The following people are listed as actively involved at present, having attended more than one meeting, or having contributed work. This list will expand shortly, as we have several other people who have expressed interest.
